Cytometry user's groups hold regional meeting March 23-24
The Northwest Cytometry User's Group and Cascade Cytometry User's Group will present the 2007 Northwest Regional Cytometry Meeting at the Hutchinson Center, Friday, March 23, 9 a.m.-7 p.m., and Saturday, March 24, 9 a.m.-noon. Meetings will take place in Pelton Auditorium and Arnold Building conference rooms. Vendors will be in Sze conference rooms.
Entitled "Order in Cytometric Complexity: Quantitation, Inference and Data Management," the meeting will feature discussions of how to better utilize data from flow cytometry, framed in the context of biological and medical topics, such as mapping phosphorylation networks and nanomedicine. Presenters include:
- Dr. Steve DeRosa, Clinical Research Division, Hutchinson Center and assistant professor, Department of Laboratory Medicine, University of Washington
- Dr. Garry Nolan, professor, Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Stanford
- Dr. James Leary, professor of nanomedicine and director, Molecular Cytometry Facility, Purdue University
- Dr. Frank Traganos, associate director, Brander Cancer Research Institute, New York Medical College at Valhalla
- Dr. Ger van den Engh, research professor, School of Oceanography, UW and founder, Cytopeia, Inc.
- Dr. Michael Loken, president, HematoLogics, Inc.
- Dr. John Nolan, professor, La Jolla Bioengineering Institute
- Dr. David Basiji, founder and chief executive office, Amnis Corporation
Auditorium seating is limited, so register early for the meeting, which is free and includes lunch and refreshments.
