March 2007

A recent study by researchers in the Public Health Sciences and Clinical Research divisions shows malaria may fuel the spread of HIV while HIV may be boosting adult malaria-infection rates in Africa. Learn about this deadly cycle of infection from study co-author Dr. Laith Abu-Raddad at the next Science Friday, March 16, noon-1 p.m. in Pelton Auditorium.

Abu-Raddad, an HIV/AIDS research scientist in the PHS Division's Statistical Center for HIV/AIDS Research and Prevention, was featured with his study collaborators in the January issue of Center News.
