Apply by May 15 for Thomsen family breast-cancer research fellowship

Center News

May 2007

Through a generous donation, the Thomsen family established the Thomsen Family Postdoctoral Fellowship to support a postdoctoral fellow in the area of breast-cancer research.

Fund administrators from the Center's Breast Cancer Research Program will give high priority to applications that support research in early detection of breast cancer. Applications that propose advances in prevention and treatment of the disease are also encouraged. Hutchinson Center faculty members are eligible to submit an application; however, the fellow can be from within or outside of the Center.

A committee composed of representatives from the Center's scientific divisions, the BCRP executive committee and breast-cancer advocates will review applications.

The original and seven copies of the application are due by 3 p.m., May 15, to Suzanne Lentz (206) 667-1910 at mailstop C1-015. For more information and an application, visit www.fhcrc.org/science/breast_cancer_program/RFP2007_Thomsen_fellowship.pdf.
