Ulrich Mueller heads Industry Relations and Technology Transfer

Dr. Ulrich Mueller has joined the Center as vice president for Industry Relations and Technology Transfer. Mueller relocated to Seattle from Houston, where he served as M.D. Anderson Cancer Center's managing director for the Office of Technology Commercialization.

Mueller earned a master's degree in biology at Texas A&M University and a doctorate in cell and molecular biology at Baylor College of Medicine. He held graduate research assistant positions at Texas A&M and Baylor College of Medicine before accepting a postdoctoral fellowship at M.D. Anderson, where he moved from science into leadership positions in business development and technology commercialization.

Mueller replaces Spencer Lemons, who is now a technology transfer consultant through the company he founded, Spira Consulting LLC.
