Award-winning journalist joins communications team

The External Affairs and Communications Department has a new external publications editor, award-winning writer and photographer Ignacio Lobos.

Lobos will edit Quest, the donor magazine, and LifeLinks, the Long-Term Follow-Up patient newsletter. He will also write and edit a variety of other communications pieces and serve as the department's primary photographer.

Lobos brings to the position an extensive background in journalism and corporate communications. He has been a writer and photographer for the Associated Press, Le Monde, The Seattle Times, Arizona Daily Star and Honolulu Star-Bulletin. He also served as editor of the health magazine for the Hawaii Blue Cross/Blue Shield organization.
