The United Way's 16th annual Day of Caring takes place Friday, Sept. 21. Day of Caring is a communitywide volunteer event that tackles more than 300 projects-including painting, yardwork, food service and clothing drives — all in a single day. Volunteers can form teams and sign up for their choice of projects.

Last year, 57 employees from the Center and the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance volunteered. The Center provides a regular day of pay for participation. However, workloads and schedules vary greatly, so before signing up, please check with your supervisor and work group.
