Attend NCI Biospecimen Best Practices Forum Jan. 28

High-quality biospecimens are critical to supporting the development of new genomic- and proteomic-based cancer interventions. Recognizing the need to unify and standardize biospecimen resource procedures, the National Cancer Institute has recently published the NCI Best Practices, which outlines technical, operational, ethical, legal and policy principles regarding the collection and use of biospecimens.

To learn more, attend the NCI Biospecimen Best Practices Forum, Jan. 28, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center. Sponsored by the Office of Biorepositories and Biospecimen Research, the forum is designed to educate and solicit feedback from investigators, industry representatives, hospital administrators, patient advocates and the public on the NCI Best Practices.

Register for the free forum at www.nci-bestpractices-forum.com. Logistical meeting details are also available on this site. For more information, read Center News Weekly online or contact Marlene Goldman at mgoldman@md.capconcorp.com or (301) 468-6004, ext. 416.
