Five-time All Star Sweeney was the recipient of the
2007 Hutch Award, which is given annually to a Major League Baseball player who best exemplifies the fighting spirit and competitive desire of baseball great Fred Hutchinson, both on and off the field.
Hutch School is a fully accredited K-12 school program sponsored by the Hutchinson Center and the Seattle Public Schools. Its mission is to serve patients (and their family members) receiving treatment at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.
