Science Friday presents survivorship discussion Sept. 21

The Science Friday series returns Sept. 21, noon-1 p.m. in Pelton Auditorium with a presentation by Dr. Debra Friedman, "Cancer Survivorship at the Interface of Research and Clinical Care."

Advances in cancer detection and treatment in the last 30 years have translated into a tripling of cancer survivors in the United States. Friedman will present data on the challenges many face as they adapt to life after cancer.
