The University of Washington School of Medicine will present a continuing medical education course, "Challenges and Controversies in Breast Cancer," Thursday, Oct. 25, and Friday, Oct. 26, at the Bell Harbor Conference Center on Pier 66.
The two-day course is for medical, surgical and radiation oncologists, breast-cancer imagers, pathologists, ancillary health-care professionals and anyone interested in learning about the latest findings in breast-cancer medicine. Leading experts in the field will present in-depth, cross-disciplinary reviews, updates and clinical recommendations in breast-cancer diagnosis, treatment and care. There will also be case presentations, debates and lectures on some of the most controversial areas of breast-cancer management.
The Seattle Cancer Care Alliance's Drs. Julie Gralow and Connie Lehman co-chair the course. The Hutchinson Center and SCCA co-sponsor the event.
