| Science in Our Community Series |

In an effort to bring topics and information on science and research closer to our community, starting June 14th, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in partnership with the Central Area Senior Center will host a series titled "Science in our Community".
Programs will be held the second Thursday of the month and will highlight issues, organizations and people who are working on the cancer fight. The programs are free to the public and will include light refreshments for attendees.
The Central Area Senior Center is located at
500 - 30th Avenue, Seattle, Wash., two blocks South of Jackson Street on the
Seattle Metro Number 14 bus route.

Moving beyond cancer to wellness |

The Hutchinson Center's Survivorship program is hosting an educational event for cancer survivors on Saturday, June 23, 2007. Keynote speakers are Doug Ulman, president of the Lance Armstrong Foundation and cancer survivor, and Bob Kiesendahl, recipient of the 2006 Lance Armstrong Foundation's LIVESTRONG™ Survivor Award and cancer survivor. Educational breakout sessions will be led by various experts.
