Meany Hall at the University of Washington
Dance for a Cure is an evening filled with entertainment by nationally recognized dancers and singers as well as local pre-professional dance students from Elizabeth's Dance Dimensions in Bellevue. Proceeds benefit Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and Pete Gross House at the Hutchinson Center.
Inspired by Tricia Johnson, who has had a nine year battle with cancer and is now in remission, the eighth annual event will feature Mo-dazz dancers (pre-professional dancers ranging in age from 7-18); the Mo-dazz alumni group; Pure Joy dance group; Twisted Elegance hip hop crew; Inception Dance Theater ballet group; and Lindsey Habenicht, a local singer. They will bring life to this year’s theme, “Breaking the Silence” with passion and powerful performances that will leave you inspired and full of hope.
