Mark Roth, Ph.D. — Secret of Reversible Hibernation
Mark Roth, a member of the Hutchinson Center's Basic Sciences Division, is perhaps best known for his research in reversible metabolic hibernation, a technique that one day may be used to help buy time for critically ill trauma patients on organ-transplant lists and in operating rooms, emergency rooms and battlefields. Dr. Roth, a recipient of the MacArthur Fellowship or "genius" award, has been profiled recently in numerous publications.
