"Memories of my family who had cancer led me to include the Hutchinson Center in my will. My mother and all of my siblings had cancer. I have had cancer. Research is the only way that we will find a solution to this problem." |
You may name the Center as a beneficiary through a bequest made through your will or living trust. This can be for a specific amount, all or a portion of the remainder of your estate, or it can be contingent upon the survival of another named beneficiary.
Supporting the Center through a bequest is easy to do. Below is sample bequest language for you to discuss with your attorney. Our organization’s full name is Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
Sample bequest language
“I give to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center or its successor organization the [choose one: sum of $_____; following described property; _____% residue of estate] to be used for its general purposes.”
If you are interested in supporting a specific project or fund, it is best to discuss your plans with our professionals. Please send us a letter of instruction via e-mail to plannedgiving@fhcrc.org or to the address below so that we know how you want your bequest to be used.
