Elmo Zumwalt III Guild

 

Profile

Established in 1989, the Elmo Zumwalt III Guild is made up of Kitsap County residents and is named in memory of the son of Admiral E.R. Zumwalt, Jr. USN (ret.). There are approximately 20 members actively involved in the Zumwalt Guild. Members enjoy the social atmosphere of the group as well as the opportunity to support the Hutchinson Center through fundraising events and service projects.

Activities

The Zumwalt Guild has historically hosted one of the two fundraisers to support the Hutchinson Center. Over the years, residents of Kitsap County have enjoyed a dinner and dance cruise aboard the "Spirit of Puget Sound" as well as a Theater Night at the Bremerton Community Theater. They have also put together three Fashion Shows and collected toys from Discovery Toy Parties to donate to the  Center. Along with selling Kitsap Cards, their newest fundraiser is a Sweet Heart Dinner Auction held in February.Zumwalt Guild members occasionally visit the Center with "get acquainted" packages for the patients.

Meetings

The guild meets on the first Tuesday of the month from September through June.
