Science Education Partnership

Funders and Support

A continuing challenge has been to provide ongoing support to participants as our community of teachers grows. In addition to direct financial support from the Hutchinson Center, which also includes the time, enthusiasm, and resources of dozens of Center scientists, SEP has had success in obtaining grant and foundation support from several sources.

SEP receives major funding through a grant from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Precollege Science Education Program. See the HHMI press release for the 2007 award here.

SEP is pleased to announce financial support from The Boeing Company Charitable Trust for the 2010-2011 Kit Loan Program.

A grant from Google Washington is supporting a pilot project using tablet computers.

We acknowledge past funding from the Amgen Foundation, Washington Mutual Bank, Wells Fargo Foundation, and the Arthur Vining Davis Foundations.

Donations of equipment and materials from the local life sciences research community expand our support of SEP teachers and their students.

We also acknowledge donations of materials to support our Kit Loan Program from:

  • New England Biolabs
  • SurModics/BioFX
  • Promega
  • Fisher
  • Rainin
Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center is a world leader in research to prevent, detect and treat cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
