For the past 12 years people of all ages have celebrated National High Five Day on the third Thursday in April by high-fiving friends and strangers alike. Celebrations have occurred in elementary school classrooms, on college campuses, in offices across the country, and in retirement communities.
National High-5-A-Thon for Cancer Research builds on that spirit by raising money to support cancer research. Anyone, anywhere can register to give 55 high-fives on National High Five Day, April 18. When you register, you get your own participation page to send to your friends and family to raise money for cancer research. The money raised goes to four great beneficiary organizations doing cutting-edge cancer research across the country, including Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
