Hutchinson Centre Research Institute - South Africa

The Hutchinson Center Research Institute - South Africa is a nonprofit, South African entity established by Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center with support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in Seattle, Washington.

This institute includes the Cape Town HVTN Immunology Laboratory, a state-of-the-art immunology laboratory and training facility. This laboratory supports clinical trials work conducted through Fred Hutch's Vaccine and Infectious Disease Division HIV Vaccine Trials Network (HVTN). The HIV Vaccine Trials Network is supported through a cooperative agreement with the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
