The goal of the UCI/Hutchinson Center Cancer Alliance training program is to increase the number of cancer specialists, scientists and support staff in Uganda as well as provide a training environment for U.S.-based personnel in Uganda. Currently, UCI/Hutchinson Center Cancer Alliance has two programs to accomplish this, the HIV Associated Malignancy Training Program (HAMTP) and a three-year NIH (NCI/FIC) – Sponsored D43 Training Grant entitled, “Building Sustainable Translational Research Teams in HIV-Associated Malignancies”.

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center is a world leader in research to prevent, detect and treat cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
