Diagnosis of Infectious Disease
Diagnostics for infectious diseases must be sensitive, rapid and inexpensive to successfully impact disease burden in underserved areas. Teams of researchers in VIDD are developing state of the art methods, such as novel identification of biomarkers associated with disease and development of molecular diagnosis approaches, for use in populations that are at high risk for disease transmission and acquisition.
