Principal Investigator of HPTN Statistical Data Management Center
Deborah Donnell is a Principal Staff Scientist in VIDD. As a statistician, her focus is protocol design for HIV prevention trials and subsequent data analyses from the trials.
VIDD Member Jim Hughes is a biostatistician who specializes in using statistical methodology in clustered randomized trials for HIV prevention, as well as other sexually transmitted diseases.
Thomas Fleming is a Member in VIDD. His lab works on the statistical analysis and design of multiple clinical trials and recently published on the prevention of HIV infection with early antiretroviral therapy.
Ying Q. Chen
Ying Qing Chen is an Associate Member of VIDD. His interests include development of statistical methods for analysis of HIV clinical trial data and further applying these tools to other epidemiological studies.
James Dai is an Associate Member in VIDD. His research interests include the statistical methods in genetic association and in randomized clinical trials, especially in efficient estimation of gene-environment interactions, direct effect estimation, and causal inference.
Lei Wang is a Senior Staff Scientist in VIDD. She provides oversight of the scientific review administrators (SRA) working on HPTN studies and serves as statistician and data analyst on prevention protocols.
