Oliver Press joins Leukemia Research Foundation advisory board

Dr. Oliver Press, investigator in the Clinical Research Division, has been elected to the scientific advisory board of the Leukemia Research Foundation. The board is a volunteer group of the nation's leading researchers and lymphoma oncologists. They advise the foundation on the appropriate research grants to fund based upon the scientific merit of the projects proposed, the demonstrated ability of the researcher and the suitability of the sponsor and the institution.

Press holds the Dr. Penny E. Peterson Memorial Chair for Lymphoma Research at the center and is professor of medicine and biological structure at the University of Washington. He is an expert in the field of immunotherapy, particularly targeted antibody therapy for treatment of B-cell lymphomas.

The Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF) is the nation's largest lymphoma-focused voluntary health organization devoted exclusively to funding lymphoma research and providing patients and health-care professionals with critical information on the disease.
