Adult Moving Beyond Cancer to Wellness 2013

What

On Saturday, June 1, 2013 the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center Survivorship Program will host its seventh annual Moving Beyond Cancer to Wellness event.

This event is designed for cancer survivors and patients, including caregivers, friends, family, and health care professionals.

Keynote Speaker – Debra Jarvis

Debra Jarvis is a breast cancer survivor, an award winning author, and former hospital chaplain. She is the author of several books; most recently It’s Not About the Hair: And Other Certainties of Life & Cancer  which was finalist for the 2009 Washington State Book Awards.
She frequently speaks at conferences discussing survivorship, spirituality and finding meaning in life’s challenges.

Breakout Sessions

The event will offer breakout sessions led by experts in the fields of such topics as: nutrition, complementary and alternative medicine, fatigue and energy, relationships and intimacy, emotional adaptation, exercise, cognitive function, lymphedema, and late effects from cancer treatment. Where

The event will be held on the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center campus. Check in will occur in the Thomas Building. On the day of the event free parking is available in any surface parking lot. Click here for a campus map and directions
