Thank you to those of you who were able to attend our Moving Beyond Cancer to Wellness event on Saturday, June 18, 2011. This free event featured a keynote address by Bobbi de Cordova-Hanks and Jerry Hanks; Bobbi a three-time cancer survivor and Jerry a four-time caregiver. The event also featured breakout sessions led by experts in the fields of nutrition, complementary medicine, exercise, fatigue and energy, relationships and intimacy, insurance rights, emotional adaptation, cognitive function, rehabilitation, stress management, lymphedema and late effects from cancer treatment.
The event was attended by 200 individuals affected by cancer. The post-event evaluations reflected overwhelmingly positive impressions; requests and comments will be considered in planning future events.
