1627 sequence tags have been submitted to NCBI's dbGSS (8.12.04).
       • 687 known genes, excluding ESTs and multiple hits in the same gene (2.15.05).
       • 1030 NCBI sequences represented in database (includes known genes and ESTs, excludes multiple hits).

independently, please note that the following database only provides information on a subset of our traps,
representing insertions in known, curated  genes.  This does not include novel genes not annotated previously.
 

The majority of sequences have been obtained using 3' RACE for genes present in our gene trap array
(ROSAFARY vector; Chen et al., 2004).  Additional information including oligo sequences used in the 3'RACE with the ROSAFARY vector can be found here.  Sequence information for other disruptions is obtained BY 5' RACE
(ROSAbgeo or ROSAbgeo*) or direct sequencing of the genomic locus (ROSAbgeo*UAS).  Detailed description of methods used for gene trap mutagenesis may be found in Friedrich, G., and Soriano, P. (1993) and Chen, W.V., and Soriano, P. (2003).

Sequence ID, dbGSS Genbank Acc, are specific to our clones and are found in
NCBI's dbGSS.  Locus ID,
Symbol, Name, Chromosome, Genbank Acc, Insertion, Coding sequence: this information was collected from
NCBI BLAST and Locus Link and is specific to the curated gene corresponding to our tag.                              

The approximate relative position of insertion within the transcriptional unit is found under Position.  Some genes
may have been trapped multiple times (# Hits).  To access sequence information, please use either the dbGSS
Genbank Acc number or the GSS name of your clone of interest in a search of NCBI's dbGSS.                       

Sequence-annotated gene trap ES cell clones will be made available for non-commercial, academic research
purposes only at not-for-profit institutions.
