WABR taps VanderWood
Karen Lane, senior vice president for Development and Community Relations,
and Jerry VanderWood, director of Community Relations, have been named to
leadership positions within professional organizations. Lane was re-elected
to the board of the Washington Biotechnology and Biomedical Association.
She chairs the association's external affairs committee, responsible for
state government relations and outreach activities. Lane served as association
president in 1995. VanderWood was elected treasurer and president-elect

that fosters understanding of the benefits of biomedical research and the
humane use of animals in research.
