Patient/family volunteer orientation scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 7; Spanish, Turkish, Italian, Arabic speakers are especially needed

Want to find out about how to offer practical and social support for families of patients undergoing marrow transplantation?
You're invited to a two-hour orientation about the Center's volunteer program at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, in Pelton Auditorium.
The session will include an overview of volunteer opportunities with oncology patients and families at the University of Washington Medical Center and Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center as part of the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.
Especially needed are volunteers who speak Spanish, Turkish, Italian or Arabic and volunteer drivers who can transport families to and from Sea-Tac Airport.
