Radiation
Two general classes of radiation therapy exist. In brachytherapy, direct implants
of a radioisotope are made into the tumor to deliver a concentrated dose to that
area. Teletherapy uses a beam to deliver radiation to a large area of the body
or to the whole body in total body irradiation (TBI).
