Happy 20th Anniversary SEP!!!

The upcoming year 2010 represents the 20th year of the Science Education Partnership. What better way to celebrate this milestone than to share it with the entire SEP professional learning community!

We plan to host a series of special events - seminars, working groups, and workshops - that will be open to all SEP teachers.

These anniversary events will take the place of our usual workshop series for a new participant cohort, which means the next SEP cohort application process will begin January 1, 2011. See the calendar page for more info.

We plan to use our 2010 workshop dates for these special community events, so we encourage you to reserve Saturday May 15, 2010, and July12-28, 2010 and join us!

Here are some of the ideas we're working on:

• Seminars and workshops to learn new concepts and skills
• Working groups focused on a task/product that would benefit the SEP teacher community
• Short research lab experience - 5 teachers will be able to join our MCB students for a week in their labs
• Developing new math, reading, writing and career connections with existing SEP kit activites
• And much more!
