SEP Partner Sitespartner site photo

SEP's success is due to its strong and dynamic community of volunteers from our partner sites. SEP teachers are able to work with mentor scientists on the cutting edge of biotechnological and basic research, researching topics in immunology, biochemistry, genetics, cell biology, molecular biology, hematology or cancer biology.

The lab experience at the partner site is designed jointly by the teacher and the mentor scientist. It is possible to explore an idea the teacher has for the classroom or do an experiment that contributes to the scientist's work.

Much of the lab equipment and surplus supplies donated to SEP for teacher use also comes from our partner sites.

Our Partner Sites include:

The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (FHCRC)

The University of Washington Department of Genome Sciences (UWGS)

The University of Washington Molecular and Cellular Biology Program (MCB)

The Seattle Biomedical Research Institute (SBRI)

The Pacific Northwest Research Institute (PNRI)

The biotech company Amgen

The biotech company ZymoGenetics

The Singapore Ministry of Education

If you are a scientist interested in working with SEP teachers, becoming a mentor scientist, learning more about science education, or looking to donate lab equipment or supplies, we would love to hear from you. Please contact us!
