Biostatistics Core: Pacific Northwest Prostate Cancer Specialized Program of Research Excellence (SPORE)

Dr. Etzioni is the Principle Investigator of the Biostatistics Core for the Pacific NW Prostate Cancer SPORE. The Biostatistics Core will link study design, data collection, measurement, and analysis to the critical hypotheses and questions of the Northwest Prostate Cancer SPORE by defining study hypotheses, study populations and experimental parameters to answer the research questions of interest, reduce systematic bias and ensure a high likelihood of detection of biologically meaningful effects; and identifying and implementing quantitative methods to address the scientific questions of interest and provide valid statistical inferences about the evidence supporting the various study hypotheses. This activity is supported by a National Cancer Institute grant (1P50 CA 97186).
