MPD Capabilities
The MPD currently cross references (i.e. provides quick links) the
following data:
- Comprehensive mouse inventory
- Breeder records
- Necropsy data
- Image data (photomicrographs or gel scans)
- Specimen archives
- Freezer inventories
- Tissue specimens
- Bacteria and DNA stocks
- Cryopreserved cell cultures
- PCR genotyping protocols
- Oligonucleotide sequences
- Plasmid DNA constructs
The database design is fairly easy to manipulate for
ad hoc calculations.
Also the data can be exported to .txt or other formats. For example
the following data is currently compiled for the users benefit:
- Mouse Inventory: Mouse pedigrees, survival times
- Necropsy data: Organ weights, tumor incidence
- Freezer archives: Freezer box maps showing vial locations
- Oligonucleotides: M.W., Tm, Genbank hyperlink.
