We are involved in teaching and administrating several graduate level courses for students enrolled in the programs in Molecular and Cellular Biology (MCB) and in Biomolecular Structure and Design (BMSD), as well as departmental students at the University of Washington. All courses are taught at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, and are conducted with the help of the laboratory staff, who assist in preparing molecular modeling and analysis exercises. Descriptions of these courses, and their most recent syllabi, are listed below:

1. ConJ/MCB 544:

"Protein Structure, Diversification and Regulation"

Survey level core course primarily for first year graduate students.
Offered every year for first five weeks of winter quarter (Covering most of January and into the first few days of February).  Meets tues/thurs 3:15 to 4:40 at FHCRC B1-072/074.   1.5 credits.

2. MCB/FHCRC 542:

"Nucleic Acids and Enzymes"

Elective course open to all graduate students.  Covers structure/function relationships of enzymes that  modify DNA and RNA.
Offered alternate years (next offered spring 2008).  Ten weeks, once per week for two hours, for entire spring quarter.
