The APPEAL study has completed participant recruitment.

What is the APPEAL Study?
Colorectal cancer is the nation's number two cancer killer, claiming the lives of 55,000 persons each year*. While previous studies have shown a connection between exercise and lowered colon cancer risk, the way in which exercise reduces risk is still unclear.

The APPEAL Study is the first to look specifically at how moderate to vigorous intensity exercise may lower risk of colon polyps and colon cancer development.
