Herbold Computational Biology Program

The Herbold Computational Biology Program, established in January, 2007 with the support of Bob and Pat Herbold, is a Center-wide program administered by the Public Health Sciences Division. Members of the Computational Biology Program use and develop novel computational methods to investigate biological mechanisms across a broad range of topics.  Areas of research interests include:  bioinformatics, infectious diseases, statistical genetics, image analysis, machine learning, systems biology, high throughput sequencing methodology, proteomics, population genetics, network modeling, and statistical computing. Program faculty maintain collaborations within the program, with other programs in the Division, across Divisions at the Center, and with other Institutions world-wide.
