  • Partnership for a Hispanic Diabetes Prevention Program
    The overall goal of this project is to establish community infrastructure to address diabetes experienced by Hispanics in a rural area. Working with community groups and organizations, awareness and education of diabetes will take place.
  • Hispanic Community Network to Reduce Cancer Disparities
    The overall goal of this project is to work with community partners to reduce the cancer health disparities experienced by Hispanics in a rural area. We aim to build an infrastructure of community partners to promote cancer awareness and education in the defined area.

  • Reducing Pesticide Exposure in Children of Farm Workers
  • Partnership for the Advancement of Cancer Research : NSMU & FHCRC
    This is a collaboration between New Mexico State in Las Cruces, New Mexico and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, WA. It focuses on increasing minority recruitment, training, and research in cancer, both in basic and public health sciences. The collaboration is guided by an external advisory committee.
