Yoga Study - Eligibility

Who can join the study?

• You are a woman between the ages of 21 and 75 years old
• You are at least 3 months post treatment (chemotherapy, radiation therapy) for in situ or Stage 0-IIIa breast cancer
• Current tamoxifen or aromatase inhibitor use is allowed
• Your weight and height are in a BMI range of 24 or higher or, if you are Asian or Asian American your BMI is in the range of 23 or higher. (click here to check your BMI)
• You plan on being in the Seattle area for the next 16 months

Exclusions for this study include:

• A regular practice of yoga in the past 6 months
• A heart attack or stroke in the last 6 months
• Current use of medications that would effect study outcomes
• Pregnancy, or plans to become pregnant in the next 16 months
• Plans to participate in another organized weight loss or exercise program in the next 16 months
• Diabetes
