Cell Analysis

Flow cytometry offers a wide range of cell analysis instrumentation, from single-laser benchtop analyzers to complex multi-laser systems. Instruments run on either the Cell Quest (BD FACScan, BD Caribur, BD LSRI) or FACS Diva (BD FACS Canto, BD LSRII) analytical platforms. For assistance determining which instrument would best fit your application please contact the Flow Cytometry Lab.

Analytical applications supported by the lab include:

• Multicolor analysis
• Cellular kinetics and physiological cellular responses
• Cell cycle analyses (DNA, RNA content)

The staff in the Flow Cytometry Lab train clientele in the use of the instruments and the analysis of data as well as consulting on experimental design. See Training for more information.

Data analysis

Data from flow cytometry is transferred to the user's fred account. After you log in, you will see a folder called flowlab. Subfolders containing your data are named with the date you did the experiment.
