Flow cytometry offers a wide range of cell analysis instrumentation, from single-laser benchtop analyzers to complex multi-laser systems. Instruments run on either the Cell Quest (BD FACScan, BD Caribur, BD LSRI) or FACS Diva (BD FACS Canto, BD LSRII) analytical platforms. For assistance determining which instrument would best fit your application please contact the Flow Cytometry Lab.
Analytical applications supported by the lab include:
The staff in the Flow Cytometry Lab train clientele in the use of the instruments and the analysis of data as well as consulting on experimental design. See Training for more information.
A good introduction to flow cytometry principles and practice is found at:

Data from flow cytometry is transferred to the user's fred account. After you log in, you will see a folder called flowlab. Subfolders containing your data are named with the date you did the experiment.
The flow cytometry resource supports a variety of desktop software that is available to all users. See the listing of software for more information. Contact flow cytometry at 667-6195 or by emailing flowcytometry@fhcrc.org if you would like training in analysis software.
