Located in the Weintraub building, the Arnold Library houses the reference, book and print journal collections. Librarians are on hand Monday thru Friday from 8am-5pm to answer questions and assist faculty and staff in finding information. The library also provides a current periodical reading room, study carrels with Internet access for laptops and patron computers for searching the web-based and online collections. Course Reserves
The library can set up course reserves that include physical items in the main floor copy room and/or electronic resource lists. Call x4314 for more information or to request service.
Dissertation Binding Request (PDF Form)
FHCRC students, faculty or staff who wish to have their dissertations or theses professionally bound should click on the link to print the directions and form necessary to use this service.
Document Delivery or Interlibrary Loan (Forms)
Do not use these forms for RUSH requests, instead call 667-6852.
Request articles, books, or other materials not in our collection. Our staff will obtain the items you need from another library or institution. Follow the link to complete the necessary forms.
Grant Submission Support Services
In response to the new
NIH/AHRQ/NIOSH grant application rules requiring increased use of publicly accessible free versions of manuscripts,
the library is offering a suite of services to assist Center researchers.
Information Request
Ask a reference librarian a question or request help with an information search. We can conduct an online database search for you from any of over 500 biomedical research, basic science, public health, biotechnology, computing and business databases.
Library Purchase Recommendation (Form)
Recommend books, journals, electronic publications, software and other materials for acquisition and inclusion in the library collections.
Library Card/Library Account (Form)
This form must be completed in order to borrow library materials and access online databases and electronic journals from off campus.
Open Access & PubMed Central Deposit Service
Let the library make your papers accessible to more readers via our institutional repository and PubMed Central. We can help you comply with the new NIH Public Access Policy by depositing your papers into PubMed Central for you.
Photocopy Service (Form)
For Center employees who are unable to visit the library and make copies, we provide this service. Library staff will photocopy items from our print collections for your convenience. Turnaround time for this service is 2-4 business days depending on quantity of items needed.
Remote Access
The Arnold Library recognizes that Center faculty and staff need access to information at many off campus locations. This service allows account holders to log-in and use online library resources from any computer with Internet connectivity (ISP) and a web browser. Use the ID and password located on the back of your library card to access this service.
