The Symposium was the third of four in a series of symposiums sponsored by the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Institute within the Hutchinson Center. Non-vaccine methods for preventing transmission of infectious diseases in adult populations are inherently complex. This symposium presented current thinking and research in ongoing clinical trial research programs and in policy and implementation of prevention programs.
