VIDI is made up of three disciplines: population sciences, infectious disease sciences, and immunology and vaccine development.
Population Sciences
Includes biostatistics, epidemiology, and population modeling. Led by
Dr. Steve Self.
Infectious Disease Sciences
Includes vaccines for infectious disease-related cancers, vaccines for infections associated with transplants, and microbial diagnostics. Led by
Dr. Larry Corey. The
Program in Infectious Diseases is also a program within the
Clinical Research Division.
Immunology and Vaccine Development
Includes immunopathogenesis and host genetics, vaccine immune monitoring, and HIV vaccine and adjuvant design. Led by
Dr. Julie McElrath.
