University Village shoppers helped raise more than $55,000 for the Hutchinson Center during the annual Shop to Make a Difference event May 13-15. Shoppers who bought $25 Cure Cards received 20 percent discounts from more than 50 stores and restaurants. All proceeds from card sales went to the Center.

One shopper at Restoration Hardware made a $1,000 gift to the Center, the largest single donation in the eight-year history of Shop to Make a Difference.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Center’s research on breast, cervical and ovarian cancer.

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center is a world leader in research to prevent, detect and treat cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
